David Gandy spent years in a bachelor pad but his new family house in southwest London has model good looks. Two years in the making, with painstaking renovations that the supermodel oversaw himself in extensive detail, the house is now home to his wife, Steph, and two daughters Matilda, five, and Tabitha, two. He takes us on a tour.

Paula Sutton

“The house is full of quirky objects” Paula Sutton, 54, says of Hill House, the Georgian property she lives in in Norfolk with her husband and children, Tobias, 22, and twins Daisy and Phoebe, 20. “Some are useful, some are more decorative, but they are all beautiful to me.” In the living room, a working candlestick telephone stands next to a Victorian armchair reupholstered in a red and white gingham, while an old hunting horn rests on a pile of books next to her father’s chess set, which she admits she doesn’t play.

Max Hurd

DP - Tom Bryan
Creative consultant Max Hurd had just one requirement when looking for his northwest London end-of-terrace: it needed to have space for the enormous painting from his childhood in Brazil that now stretches from the front door, all the way along the hall to the kitchen, where more recent memories line the walls. A portrait of his beloved Ivana, a recently deceased chihuahua who helped him “accept his queer identity”, takes pride of place, while artworks by his friends and photographs fill the back wall.

Laura Jackson

When she moved into her east London home, she shared her renovation journey with her followers on Instagram, from choosing whether to keep the existing living room wallpaper to the type of carpet to use on her stairs.

Luke Edward Hall

DP John Fisher
The artist and designer Luke Edward Hall recently swapped Camden for the Cotswolds after finding a perfect picture-book cottage with his fiancé, Duncan Campbell. Within months of their moving in, along with their whippet, Merlin, the white walls were painted in bright shades and the rooms were filled with the couple’s own works and treasures from their travels. Watch as Luke takes us around his home to celebrate the launch of his new beans Chateau Orlando.
